I completed the degree in December 2024 with a cumulative average of 65% after four years of study. I designed, built and tested a microphone array for speaker localisation and tracking via beamforming. I investigated statistical sensor fusion algorithms for object state estimation with range and bearing sensors implemented on an embedded platform. I was recommended by Prof. Tania Hanekom for performance in the third-year microcontrollers module. I am a member of the Golden Key Honour Society.
I am a full-stack Ruby on Rails developer. I am a member of the XCentral development team, where I actively contribute to the development of the Client Central support platform.
I completed nearly four weeks of vacation work at Etion Create. My responsibilities included quality assurance (QA) testing of embedded firmware written in C++. During the course of my employment, I expanded my knowledge of dynamically linked libraries (DLLs). Furthermore, I increased my proficiency in the use of the git version control system (VCS).
During my time at Gendac, I gained experience in the design, planning, and division of work to develop a software solution. I learnt how to develop a mobile application for Android using the .NET MAUI framework. Additionally, I expanded my knowledge of git.
I completed my matric in 2020 with a final average of 88%. I was the deputy head boy of the school and was responsible for school culture. As a member of the Zobotz Zwarriez robotics team, I represented South Africa at the 2018 First Lego League (FLL) Estonia open invitational competition. I was a first team rugby player.
